Intimate and Relaxed Paris Elopement
↟ Paris, France - Elopement ↟
After their courthouse ceremony I met with Killian and Melissa at their place to get ready for a celebratory walk through Paris. They bought a bouquet of flowers from a local corner store and we spent the afternoon at Palais Royal and the Louvre before stopping by their new home they are renovating. This laidback approach shows that love shines bright in life’s simplest moments. The day is your oyster, celebrate it in the most authentic way to you.
How did the proposal go?
M: “It was a surprise from Killian, we were in the process of buying a house and knew we were going to get married, so he planed our elopement but I discovered it when I was in Lyon because I received an email from the Mairie.”
*The Mairie is city hall and to confirm the elopement it requires the emails of both participants*
K: “So sad”
M: “I said no to his proposal”
K: “She is joking”
M: “He offered me a blue bracelet because it's his favourite colour and the next day we went on holidays to l'île d'Oléron”
What is love to you as a couple?
M: “Having long terms projects together, like renovating an old house and being best friends as lovers”
K: “To help each other, to accept the person as she is and living an adventure”
M: “Parcourir ensemble un chemin parsemé d'embûches, de joie, de tristesse, de désaccords, de rires, de bonheur.”
Translation: “Travel together a path strewn with pitfalls, joy, sadness, disagreements, laughter, and happiness.”
